Slim-line monopole
One type of monopoles is the slim-line monopole. The slim-line monopole is also called a step pole as the monopole has constant diameter in sections and the diameter is reduced over the height, since this leads to less visual impact.
Strong-line monopole
For monopoles carrying MW-antennas the strong-line monopole is often chosen as this has less rotation in the top of the monopole. The strong-line monopole is chimney like with a constant diameter over height.
Even though the monopoles are more expensive than the lattice towers, the monopoles are often chosen in areas where a solution with less visual impact is needed.
The feeders can either run through the foundation or via a cable bridge to the shelter.
